Celebrities Ecstatic Over Joe Biden’s VP Nomination of Kamala Harris

In one of the most historic moments of United States, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has nominated the first Black, South Asian woman Kamala Harris as his VP for the run.

Naturally, the news has come as a breath of fresh air in the US that continues to fight for gender equality and against racism.

“YES!” Taylor Swift took to Twitter and announced her clear endorsement.

“Kamala!!! I can’t wait to vote for Biden/Harris 2020!!!” said Mandy Moore.

“Was there ever more of an exciting day? For our entire country of course, but especially for my Black and Indian sisters, many of us who have gone our entire lives thinking that someone who looks like us may never hold high office? We work so hard and contribute to the fabric of our lives in America, & now to see @SenKamalaHarris rise to the top like this? It’s thrilling!!”, Mindy Kaling tweeted.

“Excited to vote!! still amazed Election Day isn’t a national holiday. it needs to be celebrated, with a post-vote bar crawl,” said Chrissy Teigen.

Among other celebrities who welcomed the news included Jessica Biel, Jamie Lynch, and John Legend.
