Junaid Safdar confirmed his divorce with Ayesha Saif on Thursday.
Days after speculations, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior vice president and chief organizer Maryam Nawaz’s, Junaid Safdar, in a social media statement confirmed that he and his wife had divorced.
Soon after the announcement, Junaid Safdar removed all his pictures with his former wife Ayesha Saif Khan from his Instagram account.
“News about my divorce is true,” Junaid Safdar stated in an Instagram story.
“This is an entirely private matter and I request the media to respect our privacy,” Maryam Nawaz’s son said in the story.
“I hope with this decision we find our peace In Shaa Allah. I will speak no further on this matter.”
“I wish her well,” he added.
Junaid Safdar tied the knot with Ayesha Saif Khan, daughter of Saifur Rehman, former chairman of the Ehtesaab Bureau, two years ago.
The wedding was celebrated in a series of extravagant functions.
Though the couple stayed away from the media spotlight during their time together, their divorce news has triggered significant reactions on social media.
