Actor Ray Fisher who played superhero Cyborg in the 2017 Justice League has taken it to Twitter to make allegations against the director Joss Whedon. Calling him “unprofessional” and “abusive” Fisher has claimed that producers Geoff Johns and Jon Berg also facilitated Whedon on the sets of the film.
“Joss Wheadon’s on-set treatment of the cast and crew of Justice League was gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable,” tweeted Fisher.
“He was enabled, in many ways, by Geoff Johns and Jon Berg,” the actor alleged the producers who were executives running the DC film for WarnerMedia Bros at the time.
Earlier the actor had also shared a video of himself praising the Whedon at San Diego Comic Con, calling him a great guy. “I’d like to take a moment to forcefully retract every bit of this statement,” Fisher captioned alongside the video.
While Whedon and his team have not responded to the allegations leveled by Fisher, John and Berg have denied his claims.
It’s “categorically untrue that we enabled any unprofessional behavior,” said the producers while talking to Variety.
Whedon replaced Jack Snyder for the post-production phase of the Justice League after Snyder left the film for personal reasons. Whedon looked after the reshoots, editing, and visual effects of the 2017 release. Snyder’s cut will also soon release on HBO Max after fans extensively lobbied for it.
