Mahira Khan bags 4th position in Eastern Eye’s 50 Sexiest Asian Women In The World list

Eastern Eye‘s 50 Sexiest Asian Women In The World list, now in its 15th year, is based on millions of votes sent in from around the world, media coverage, impact and social media attention these celebrities garner. The list is put together annually by Eastern Eye’s Editor, Asjad Nazir based on the polling.

This year’s list has been out and Bollywood starlet Deepika Padukone has taken the lead, as the sexiest woman in the whole wide world. The second spot was taken by another newlywed Bollywood starlet, Priyanka Chopra, while television queen, Nia Sharma came in on the third position.

What is news for Pakistanis is the fact that Pakistani starlet, Mahira Khan, came in at number 4th. The first Pakistani to walk the red carpet at Cannes Film Festival as an ambassador for L’Oreal in a major way, raising money for charity, highlighting social causes, inspiring young girls, Mahira Khan has more to her credit.

“I am grateful to be part of this list once again. My fans are my strength so thank you to them. I think personally sexy is what sexy does and I hope to continue to work hard at what I do with as much as passion as I have been from the start,” said Mahira Khan.

Other surprise for Pakistanis is the inclusion of actresses, Sanam Saeed, Armeena Khan, Mehwish Hayat and Iqra Aziz.

Sanam Saeed, another acclaimed Pakistani actress, came in at number 19, as an Editor’s choice. “Sanam Saeed  is pushing the creative boundaries in Pakistan and regularly speaking about a wide array of important social issues including women’s empowerment,” shared the editor.

Armeena Rana Khan is at number 24 and beats Aishwariya Rai who comes in on number 30. The list also holds Mehwish Hayat on number 40 and Iqra Aziz on 46 number as well. The complete list comes out Friday.
