Mariyam Nafees took to social media to expose online stalkers for making inappropriate demands.
In a series of Instagram stories, the actress revealed how people had been approaching her with inappropriate requests.
Mariyam shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation and with the caption: “Married or not- this never stops! Actors are not prostitutes!”
The conversation featured a random number messaging her and saying they had seen her at the LUX Style Awards. and asked if she could spare a few moments, the unknown individual asked to “plan for a meeting.” When asked what it was for, they responded, “For some personal time. You can name the amount.”
An angered Mariyam responded to the individual saying, “Bet your mom is ashamed to have a child like you.” Chiding the person by calling them a “swine,” she told them that not every woman can be bought.
She shared another screenshot, revealing details of the individual – number, name, and all – and said, “I fully plan on exposing them all!”
She next posted a screenshot of a conversation, wherein a woman solicited the actress to agree to take a photo shoot with a Pakistani magazine which involved “political level parties and bold shoots.”
To this, Mariyam Nafess said, “Go pimp somewhere else!” and asked, “Is everyone doing the same thing?”
Mariyam Nafees has made quite a name for herself by acting in projects including Diyar-e-Dil, Ishq-e-Benaam, Haya Ke Daaman Main, Munkir, and Kuch Na Kaho
Her outspoken messages were applauded by several social media users.
One social media user asked if she had tracked any of the culprits down. To this, Mariyam Nafees revealed, “Pimps and [debauchees] apparently! Previously some of them apologised after getting exposed. Yes, my ‘people’ are tracking them down.”
