Ushna Shah Declares Motorway Case Verdict a Landmark

Popular Pakistani actress Ushna Shah has declared the verdict given in Motorway Gangrape Case a landmark.

The Lahore Motorway gang rape incident had left the whole of Pakistan in shock.

Taking it to social media, Ushna Shah while sharing a news link regarding the verdict said, “Dear survivor, I hope this is a step towards the healing of your trauma. This verdict is a landmark and it may help others from going through what you did. Sending love and light to you and your children, Sis! Stay strong.”

It was a day ago when an anti-terrorism court handed down death sentences to Lahore-Sialkot Motorway gang-rape culprits Abid Malhi and Shafqat Ali.

The verdict was announced by ATC judge Arshad Hussain Bhatta at Lahore’s Camp Jail where the two accused have been imprisoned.

The accused were also fined Rs50,000 each.

The accused in the case had gang-raped a Pakistan-origin French woman in front of her children last year, while her car had developed a fault on the Lahore-Sialkot motorway on September 9, 2020.
