Mahira Khan’s fame knows no leaps and bounds. The woman is not only a talented actress but a wonderful humanitarian as well. And therefore her association with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) comes as no surprise.
At present, Mahira Khan has been avidly working with the UNHCR for the Afghan Refugees in Karachi and has kept her social media updated with her experiences.
It was during one of the visits that Mahira Khan came across two young boys, who were avid Varun Dhawan fans.
“These two boys followed me around the whole time. They hadn’t watched any of my films but they insisted they knew someone called Raja. They said ‘Raja hero hai!’. We kept trying to guess who they are talking about. Finally they sang a song from @varundvn ‘s film. They also said they want to be like him. Told them one day inshAllah they will be ❤️,” wrote Mahira.
And much to her surprise, Varun Dhawan picked it up. And not only did he cheer Mahira on, he sent his love to the actress for her humanitarian work.
“That’s so amazing that your doing this work @mahirakhan. I saw the video and it brough a big smile on my face. sending lots of love. thank u for sharing,” wrote Varun.
While the two countries continue to bicker, it comes as a pleasant surprise that its artists appreciate each other and share a bond of love.
