Veteran actor Rasheed Naz passed away on Monday aged 73.
He was among the pillars of PTV‘s golden 80’s era, showcasing the best from Peshawar Television.
The veteran actor’s funeral prayers will be offered at Charsadda Road Eid Gah at 3 PM.
The news of his demise was confirmed by Rasheed’s son Hassan Noman.
According to him, his father was admitted to a local hospital in Islamabad.
His daughter-in-law and actress Madiha Rizvi also shared the sad news in a post on her Instagram handle.
Sharing a throwback photo of the father-in-law, Rizvi said, “Our dearest Baba Rashid Naz Has left this world peacefully this morning. Please recite Surah Fateha for the departed soul.”
He made his acting debut in 1971 from PTV Peshawar center from a Pashto drama.
His decades-long acting career included uncountable Pashto, Hindko, and Urdu dramas including films.
He famously played the role of Maulana Tahiri in Shoaib Mansoor’s 2007 blockbuster Khuda Kay Liye.
