Jhok Sarkar Episode-20 Review: ASP Arsalan survives the assassination attempt by Meeral

Jhok Sarkar, a HUM TV drama serial directed by Saife Hassan and penned by Hashim Nadeem, is getting strong after its 20 episodes. Performances are all on point particularly it is Farhan Saeed’s power-packed act which adds interest. In the previous episode, we were wondering whether ASP Arsalan survives that murder attempt on him by Meeral or not. In this episode, it is shown that ASP Arsalan survives the assassination attempt very cleverly.

ASP Arsalan as we have seen in the previous episode has been attacked by the goons sent by Meeral. They killed the sepoy which alarms Arsalan of their presence. Arsalan gets alert and he fights them off very efficiently. The fight sequence in the train I must say is quite well shot and for that credit goes to the director Saife Hassan. ASP Arsalan’s police squad has not left him they come to his rescue and save him from the assassination attempt.

Meeral and Peeral are extremely disappointed to know that ASP Arsalan has efficiently saved himself from their murder attempt. They both admit the cleverness and alertness of ASP Arsalan. Meeral is too angry he wants to end this cat and rat fight and wants to teach Arsalan a lesson. Dhani Baksh advised Meeral that it is high time to solve the Mukhtar case in the absence of ASP Arsalan. Meeral brightens up to hear this advice.

Meeral gets to know that Mukhtar has been shifted to Shor Kot Police Station. Meeral and Peeral admit that ASP Arsalan is too far-sighted and cleverer than their thoughts. Meeral is getting aggressive and Peeral tells him to calm down and reminds him that Shor Kot is their own area too like Jhok Siyal. Well wondering what Meeral and Peeral are up to and what is cooking in their heads? Sassi is terrified to death as she worries for Arsalan’s safety. There is no scene of Noori in this episode.

ASP Arsalan goes to meet his family and there he has been called by his superior. Well, I simply do not understand Arsalan’s ex-flame’s husband taking a keen interest in him. He asks him to join his special squad and then inviting and insisting him to attend his private party does not make any sense at all. He appears to be quite a decent guy initially but now we sense a streak of negativity in him it feels like he already knows his wife and ASP Arsalan’s ex-relationship. Well ASP Arsalan very nicely tells him that he has moved on and wishes them luck as a couple. It all seems additional. A filler episode!
