The first look at Ahad Raza Mir in BBC’s ‘World on Fire Series 2’ was unveiled in the recently released trailer.

Pakistani heartthrob star will be seen playing the role of Rajib, a brave and determined leader of a specialized unit within the British Indian Army during World War II.

BBC’s World on Fire series two will be arriving on Sunday 16 July.

The series will transport the viewers from the streets of Britain into occupied France, Nazi Germany, and to the sands of the North African desert, where British troops struggle alongside Indian Sappers and Australian Diggers to adapt to a very different kind of combat.

Ahad Raza Mir (Resident Evil, Hum Tum) as Rajib, in a suporting role will feature along the cast including Mark Bonnar (Guilt, Line Of Duty) as Sir James Danemere, Gregg Sulkin (Runaways, Pretty Smart) as David and Miriam Schiweck (Der Staatsanwalk, Fellweckselzeit) as Marga.

The 41-sec duration trailer for World on Fire Season 2 offers a glimpse into the intense battles that unfold as RAF bombers attempt to thwart the German bombers. Meanwhile, other storylines will take us to India, where British troops join the Indian Sappers and Australian Diggers, presenting a unique perspective on warfare.

A glimpse at Ahad Raza Mir as Rajib shows him welcoming someone to the British Indian Army, and in a follow-up shot, he is seen dodging bullets and bombs.
