The name, Mahira Khan, needs no introduction.
The popular actress was recently spotted in London where she was attending the UK Asian Film Festival. She shared the stage with a few famous Bollywood celebrities like the veteran actress Simi Garewal and both the stalwarts entertained the attendees with the stories of their childhood and the struggles that they went through to attain stardom.
Mahira Khan was especially excited about the screening of her political/social drama, Verna. She minced no words in expressing her joy and pride as her latest movie grabbed the attention of the audience and left them applauding.
She also posed with Aamina Sheikh, Sanam Saeed and Adnan Malik, the cast of the upcoming flick, Cake. However, all the splendour and glitterati aside, the highlight of the night for the beaming actress beyond the shadow of any doubt was the moment when she was honored with an award for her ‘Contribution to Films and Activism’.
Needless to say, this is another feather in the star’s already-very-impressive hat, and hopefully, there are many other accolades in her future.
