Mahira Khan Reminisces About Khirad, Her Most Special Character

It would presumably be not wrong to dub Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan starrer Humsafar, the most successful drama of the last decade. And while we gush about the Ashar and Khirad chemistry, let it sink in that its first episode came out nine years ago!

Mahira herself who basically became the Mahira Khan with this drama cannot stop talking about her first drama and she recently took it to Instagram as she reminisced about Khirad, her most special character till date.

“What is there left to say that hasn’t already been said? Maybe that’s the thing about Humsafar, there is always more to say,” captioned Mahira alongside clips from the iconic drama.

“Khirad is by far my most special character. She loved fiercely, she gave wholeheartedly and when it came to her self-respect she held that closest to her heart. What a woman,” the superstar further penned our feelings as we nodded in agreement.

Thanking her fans who made Humsafar the success it was, Mahira wrote, “But like I always say.. Humsafar is beyond all of us who made it. It’s all of Yours. This safar, this journey is nothing without all of you.. who have kept the magic alive for 9 years.”

Needless to say, Mahira left us wanting more of Ashar and Khirad once again and if it feels any better, we are now looking forward to Legend of Maula Jutt and Neelofar – both films which will feature our favorite Mahira, Fawad together.
