Emmy winner actor Neil Patrick Harris is all set to join the cast of The Matrix 4. He will be joining in Keanu Reeves, along with Carrie-Anne Moss, who will be reprising their roles in the film. As well as the villain on Aquaman Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who was tapped as one of the leads last week.
Till yet, plot details of the upcoming film are being kept under the wraps. While it is being rumoured a young Morpheus could appear in the movie, however, the sources close to the film would not confirm Harris’ specific role.
With 27 million followers on Twitter, Harris has a huge fanbase, it is being quoted that he’s certainly going to bring added value to the project.
It was announced by Warner Bros. earlier in August that a fourth Matrix film is officially in the works, with Reeves and Moss returning and Lana Wachowski on board to write and direct.
Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell have co-written the script with Wachowski, who will also be producing Matrix 4 with Grant Hill.
According to the film sources, the 4th film of the Matrix franchise is expected to begin production at the beginning of 2020.
On work front, Harris has recently starred as Count Olaf in Netflix’s adaptation A Series of Unfortunate Events, and he also appeared alongside Matt Damon in Alexander Payne‘s Downsizing.
