Parizaad Season 2 is set to air next year!

“It’s going to be a beautiful story,” promised the CEO of Hum Network, Duraid Qureshi, as he confirmed that the second season of the show will come out next year.

Parizaad starring actor Ahmed Ali Akbar as the titular character, tells the tale of a college student striving to reach his ambitions, that aired in July 2021 and wrapped up with the final episode in cinemas on January 28 2022 before airing on television,

HUM TV’s drama serial based on the novel of the same name brought a refreshing change to the Pakistani drama scene by moving away from the stereotype of portraying women as constantly weeping or dependent. 

One of the key factors that drew viewers to “Parizaad” was its commitment to quality and completeness.

In a recent interview, the CEO of Hum Network Duraid Qureshi while confirming season 2 of Parizaad added, “Our philosophy is that the content should be good, and it should be complete. If you study the show, you will see that not one single episode or performance dragged, which is why it was so successful.”

It was soon after the drama concluded, when taking to Instagram, the writer of Parizaad Hashim Nadeem teased fans with the new season in the works.

Back in June 2022, he posted a backshot of the lead character played by Ahmed Ali Akbar as Parizaad and wrote, “Chapter 2.”

All the Parizaad fans out there must be more than excited to see their favourite character return to the screen. 

Ahmed Ali Akbar in an interview last week already hinted that the show would be back.

Akbar remarked on his character in the drama, saying “Parizaad was so deeply interwoven into who I am, I wanted to shed some of [it] before I could talk to people. It was a year-long shoot, you become part of the character, the character becomes part of you.”
