Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has imposed a complete ban on the transmission of Bol Entertainment’s programme TickTock Show with immediate effect.
According to the press release by the regulatory authority, the move has been taken after several complaints sent by viewers on PEMRA’s official social media accounts and also on Pakistan Citizen Portal.
PEMRA had issued a warning to the channel for airing videos and content based on absolutely inappropriate, vulgar, obscenity and Indian music.
Earlier, PEMRA has also issued an advisory to the channel to customize the show with decent Pakistani content and warned that strict action would be taken in accordance with PEMRA Ordinance.
Meanwhile, the channel continued to air inappropriate TikTok videos in their programme, in response to the violation the authority has banned the broadcast of the said programme under Section 27 of the PEMRA Ordinance.
