Robert De Niro to star in Netflix’s Zero Day!

The gig will mark his first leading role in a streaming series.

Netflix‘s Zero Day is going to be a limited series that reflects the public’s fascination with conspiracies.

The synopsis reads: “How do we find truth in a world in crisis, one seemingly being torn apart by forces outside our control? And in an era rife with conspiracy theory and subterfuge, how much of those forces are products of our own doing, perhaps even of our own imagining?”

De Niro has also been tapped by Netflix to executive produce the series as well.

De Niro Jr., 79, is one of the best known Hollywood stars of all time, having won the Academy Award for best actor and best supporting actor for ‘Raging Bull’ and ‘The Godfather Part II’.

He has been also been nominated for seven acting Academy Awards in total.
