After much speculations and the fact that Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar will no longer be working together, we can safely assume that Pepsi will not be signing up Zafar as one of the judges on its panel for Battle of the Bands this year. Sources mentioned Zafar was being roped in as a judge on the second continuous season of the show this year, however, after Meesha Shafi alleged Zafar for sexual harassment, things didn’t materialize.
However, now, as per our sources, Pepsi, have roped in our favorite band, Strings, as acting judges for this season of Battle of the Bands alongside Meesha Shafi, Fawad Khan and also Shahi Hasan from last year. Even though Strings have refused to make an official statement about the matter, the news is confirmed that the band duo, Faisal Kapadia and Bilal Maqsood, will be judging the upcoming season of BoB, shooting for which has already begun.
The musical experience and mentoring Strings can bring to the show, for the emerging bands, looking to make a name and career in the industry, is definitely huge. Having been active on the musical scene for more than three decades, Strings know what to expect and how to guide best, which will definitely be a plus point for them as judges and a positive point for all bands participating in this year’s Pepsi Battle of the Bands.
