Two Pakistani films make it to the Cannes World Film Festival

Pehchaan, by Mohammad Ahsan, has been also been shortlisted for the Best Human Rights Film Award.

Two Pakistani films have made it to the Cannes World Film Festival this year.

The nomination list was announced on Cannes’ official Instagram handle, revealing that some categories have direct winners.

And we get to know that two Pakistani films – ‘Noor’ and ‘Pehchaan’ – have been nominated for the Cannes World Film Festival.

Pehchaan, by Mohammad Ahsan, has been also been shortlisted for the Best Human Rights Film Award.

 

The other film Noor is a SeePrime original written by Farah Usman.

The star cast of Noor includes Sarwat Gilani, Omair Rana, Tanisha Shameem, Mizna Waqas, and Tasneem Ansari.
