In Auckland, New Zealand’s biggest city, tens of thousands gathered around Sky Tower as fireworks exploded from the top of the 328-meter (1,076-foot) structure.
Stunning firework displays were witnessed at Sydney Harbour, Australia. The Sydney display lasted over 12 minutes.
Tokyo, China and Hong Kong have also welcomed 2019 with firework displays.
