First-ever Spikes Asia 2019 ‘See It Be It’ conference is all set to commence in Singapore from September 25-27. This time around the organizers received 150 applications of females from the creative industry, and only 10 were shortlisted for the program.
Pakistan’s Sidra Salman – associate creative director at Synite Digital – too has made it to the prestigious event and will be representing Pakistan.
“I am grateful for this once in a lifetime opportunity and look forward to joining the company of some of the most inspiring women in the creative industry from around the globe. I feel honored that I will be representing Pakistan on such a prestigious global platform,” said Sidra while talking to The News.
Spikes Asia is dubbed as Asia Pacific’s Festival of Creativity. This is the first time the festival has offered a career accelerating program for women in the creative industry, working in the capacity of advertising, marketing, film-making, innovation, editorial, design, PR or a related discipline.
The two-day event will provide the participants with the opportunity of training, mentoring and networking with like-minded individuals of the industry. The aim is to empower women who work in a male-dominated industry and combat diversity issues.
