Super model Gigi Hadid defends her decision to publish paparazzi photo

American top model Gigi Hadid has defended her decision to publish a paparazzi photo on her Instagram after she was informed by her management that she was being “legally pursued” for using the image without a credit.

In a recent Instagram post, the 23-year-old model wrote in detail, explaining how the image showed her standing outside an event. According to her she had found it on Twitter with no photographer’s name attached to it. The photo is reported to be taken down.

The post has received more than 750,000 times, bringing in a wave of supportive comments. The celebrity model has an extensive fan base on social media.

Gigi wrote, “These people make money off us every day, LEGALLY stalking us day in and day out,”
She continued adding further, “For someone to take a situation where I was trying to be open, and sue me for a photo I FOUND ON TWITTER (with no photographer’s name on the image), for a photo he has already been paid for by whatever outlet put it online (!!!), is absurd,”

The super model also included that if that reporter even had made a comment on the post she would’ve happily credited the photographer had she known who they were.

She concluded her open letter saying, “I understand that this is how you make your living and I respect that this is something I must accept with my job. But there is a line. We are human beings, and sometimes it takes a lot of courage to engage with you because of the resentment I feel for the negative parts of these experiences.”

Gigi Hadid has been physically handled by paparazzi in the past. The incident occurred during Milan Fashion Show in 2016. Gigi was walking with her sister Bella, on the street when she was grabbed from behind and lifted from the ground.

Model who also trains for boxing, defended herself with her quick fighting reflexes. She later supported her action she has a right to defend herself.
