1991 Bollywood’s hit film Sadak gets a sequel: Sadak 2

Lately, Mahesh Bhatt’s directorial upcoming film Sadak2 is making a lot of news rounds. Sanjay Dutt and Alia Bhatt are reported to be confirmed starring in in the sequel of 1991’s hit film. The film will go on floors in February 2019 and the makers are looking forward for 15th November 2019 release, reportedly.

As Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt will be reprising the lead roles in the film, the news source also confirms that Alia Bhatt has also given her final nod for being in the sequel. Aditya Roy Kapur has also been roped in for the sequel.

Mahesh Bhatt while talking to a leading tabloid has shared about his upcoming film Sadak2, he told, “Sanjay who was 32 when we made the original, comes back as a 54-year-old Ravi into the 21st-century world that is collapsing in front of his eyes, where the distinction between the house and the ‘sadak’ is fast disappearing. The story has the emotional connect of the films I made back in the’90s which brought a lump to the throats of the viewer. I could see that in the reaction of those present at the narration. They were visibly moved”.

Pooja Bhatt who is reported to making her comeback with this film has been sharing on her Instagram tagging Sadak2, couple of times.
