‘Mad Max’ Prequel ‘Furiosa’ ropes in Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II

‘Mad Max’ Prequel ‘Furiosa’ has roped in the A-list Hollywood actors including Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II for the lead roles.

The upcoming  prequel is based on Charlize Theron’s Imperator Furiosa character from 2015’s “Mad Max: Fury Road.”

George Miller is directing, co-writing, and producing “Furiosa,” along with his longtime producing partner Doug Mitchell.

Taylor-Joy will play the title character, a younger version of Furiosa in the prequel.

It was last year when Miller revealed that he is searching for a younger actress in her 20s to take over the role.

Miller’s own Australian-based Kennedy Miller Mitchell banner will produce the film, together with “Fury Road” partner Warner Bros. Pictures.
