X-Men: Dark Phoenix which is all set to hit theatres is September 2019, is going to have its ending sequence in a train, however the films’ concept art revealed that this was not the original plan.
As per a latest revelation, Dark Phoenix was set to have an ending in space where Jane Grey takes on a powerful alien armada disguised as her alter ego ‘Phoenix’. The sequence had been shot earlier when the film wrapped its shoots in September 2017. However, a year later reshoots were done and some major changes including the last scene were altered, mainly due to its uncanny resemblance with Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame’s last sequence of battle.
Written and directed by Simon Kinberg, X-Men: Dark Phoenix is the story of one of the X-Men’s most beloved characters, Jean Grey who got her powers after being hit by a cosmic force during a dangerous rescue mission in space. Jean has now evolved into Dark Phoenix, one of the strongest mutants.
Starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Sophie Turner, the movie is set to release in September 2019.
