Zindagi Tamasha will mark Sarmad Khoosat’s directorial debut and most likely add to his already flourishing career. However, it looks like his journey might already be facing turbulence due to the sensitive nature of the storyline the movie intends to touch.
Earlier last week, Khoosat Films uploaded trailer of Zindagi Tamasha on YouTube which apart from being lauded by audiences also received criticism for its plot that discusses the misuse of blasphemy laws in Pakistan. And yesterday, the trailer was taken down from YouTube, much to fans’ disappointment.
Today, Sarmad himself addressed the issue as he also announced d the movie’s release date i.e. January 24, 2020.
“Khoosat Films took down the trailer from YouTube themselves. A trailer is just a tiny part of the entire film, there’s no context so a few people had some issues regarding the content of that clip and we took that into account,” Dawn quoted Sarmad as he issued a statement today.
“After minor tweaks, we’ll reupload it soon enough,” added the actor turned director.
Zindagi Tamasha is Sarmad’s first directorial project that he has co-produced with his sister Kanwal Khoosat. Arif Hassan, Samiya Mumtaz, Eman Suleman, and Ali Qureshi will be starring in the much-anticipated film.
