Leonardo DiCaprio is reported to be in talks to portray Frank Sinatra in a Biopic directed by Martin Scorsese.
DiCaprio recently starred in Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon,” and also led other Scorsese-helmed biopics like “The Wolf of Wall Street” and “The Aviator.”
However, as per the Variety report, Frank Sinatra’s daughter Tina Sinatra who controls her father’s estate hasn’t yet approved a film adaptation of his life story.
Despite no approval, the Oscar-winning auteur is gearing up to develop a biopic based on the legendary crooner.
As reported, Sony is leading a bidding war for the project.
Scorsese is already looking to cast DiCaprio and fellow Academy Award winner Jennifer Lawrence in the biopic, with Lawrence portraying screen star Ava Gardner, who was Frank Sinatra’s second wife after Nancy Barbato.
Lawrence and DiCaprio have been the co-stars in “Don’t Look Up.”
