Arooj Aftab bagged two 2024 Grammy Awards nominations!

The nominations for the 67th annual Grammy Awards were announced over the weekend and yet achieving another milestone, Pakistani-American artist Aroob gets nominated in two categories.

Arooj Aftab, who has already won a Grammy award, bagged two nominations for two of her songs in the “Best Global Music Performance (Arooj Aftab, Vijay Iyer & Shahzad Ismaily – Shadow Forces)” and “Best Alternative Jazz Album (“Love in Exile,” Arooj Aftab, Vijay Iyer, Shahzad Ismaily)” categories.

The Brooklyn-based Pakistani singer bagged the Grammy for her song “Muhabbat” in the Best Global Performance category in 2022.

Meanwhile, SZA is in the lead with nine nominations.

Other prominent nominees include Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Boygenius, Miley Cyrus, Jon Batiste, Victoria Monét, and Billie Eilish, all competing with SZA for the coveted Record of the Year.

The Grammy Awards ceremony is set for February 4, 2024, and will be broadcast live on CBS.
