Johnny Depp forced to postpone upcoming tour with The Hollywood Vampires after sustaining ‘painful’ ankle injury

Johnny Depp's group Hollywood Vampires, will reschedule their first three U.S tour dates

Johnny Depp is forced to postpone the upcoming tour, it emerges on Monday, after sustaining a ‘painful’ ankle injury!

It’s confirmed now that Depp, who is a member of the group Hollywood Vampires, is postponing the American leg of his band’s upcoming tour due to injury.

On Monday, Depp and his bandmates, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry, confirmed the news that they have to reschedule their first three U.S tour dates on their Instagram account.

The 59-year-old actor tweaked his ankle while promoting his film, Jeanne Du Barry, at the Cannes Film Festival, earlier this month.

‘We are sad to share that the Hollywood Vampires will be rescheduling our three US tour dates this coming week,’ the band announced in their post.

They continued: ‘Johnny has sustained a painful injury to his ankle following his recent appearances and has been advised by his doctor not to travel.’

‘He is devastated by this turn of events, but looks forward to resting up so all four Vampires can bring their absolute best to the tour in Europe,’ the group added.

The Hollywood Vampires was formed in 2012, initially performing cover songs to honor rock stars who died in the 1970s.

Depp previously toured with Beck and recorded an album with the legendary guitarist, who died, at the age of 78, after contracting bacterial meningitis.

The pair created a 13-track collection, featuring two new Depp originals, and an eclectic mix of cover songs ranging from iconic artists including the Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye, and John Lennon to alternative rockers such as Killing Joke and The Velvet Underground.
