Four security officials were martyred in a terrorist attack on the Sherani checkpost in Balochistan on Sunday.
As reported, unidentified gunmen attacked a checkpost in Balochistan’s Sherani district on Sunday.
One of the attackers was also killed in the retaliatory firing.
The attackers fired rockets at the Dhana Sar checkpost in which three policemen and a Frontier Constabulary personnel embraced martyrdom.
Following the attack, a search operation was launched in the area.
Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudus Bizenjo condemned the attack.
“Terrorists cannot demoralize security forces with cowardly acts,” the CM said, adding, “The sacrifices of the security forces are a torch for the nation”.
“Security forces are ensuring the security of the country and the nation with firm determination and courage,” CM added.
On the other hand, the banned outfit Teḥrik-e-Ṭaliban Pākistan claims responsibility for attacking the FC checkpost today in the Dana Sar area of the Sherani district (Zhob division).
The group acknowledged that one of its militants (Mutawakkil) was also killed in the attack.
