The Anti-Extremism Unit of Islamabad Police has taken down 462 accounts spreading religious hatred on social media.

The spokesperson said that a letter was written to FIA for the closure of such accounts.
“Among the blocked accounts, 65 were involved in religious hatred and 47 in propaganda against the country while 350 were involved in spreading terrorism content,” he said.
According to the spokesperson, the remaining 1060 accounts will also be removed soon.
“People are requested to stay away from such negative activities on social media. Legal action will also be taken against those involved in such negative activities,” the spokesperson said, urging citizens to report any such activity on hotline 15.
