9 policemen martyred in bomb attack on Balochistan Constabulary van in Bolan

At least nine personnel of the Balochistan Constabulary (BC) were martyred and 13 were injured in a bomb attack in Bolan on Monday.

The truck, carrying the Balochistan Constabulary personnel to Quetta from Sibi, was targeted near a bridge in the Landi Khosa area of Bolan.

As reported,  a suicide bomber rammed his motorbike into the police vehicle near Kambari Bridge in Sibi when.

According to Levies sources, the injured have been rushed to Civil Hospital in Sibi for treatment.

While three of them are reported to be in serious condition.

The police said that the Balochistan Constabulary personnel were returning to Quetta after performing duties at a carnival in Sibi.

Kachhi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mahmood Notezai confirmed the casualties.

Senior superintendent of police (SSP) of Katchi Mehmood Notezai stated that the preliminary evidence suggested that it was a suicide attack; however, the exact nature of the blast could be ascertained only after the investigation.

Following the blast, a bomb disposal team reached the site of the incident, while the area was being searched after the explosion.

Condemnations for the terrorist attack on the Balochistan Constabulary van

 

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his resolve to free the country from the menace of terrorism.

PM condemned the suicide attack on the personnel of the Balochistan Constabulary in Sibbi that led to their martyrdom and prayed to Allah Almighty to grant elevated ranks to the souls of martyrs in heaven and to grant patience to their families.

He said terrorism in Balochistan was part of a nefarious design to create instability in the country.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo condemned the attack and expressed grief at the number of casualties.

CM Balochistan said terrorist elements wanted to accomplish their wicked aims through cowardly actions, adding that they were conspiring to keep Balochistan under-developed by creating unrest and instability in the province.

“All such conspiracies will be made unsuccessful with the public’s support,” the chief minister vowed in a statement.

Balochistan’s Chief Minister conveyed his sympathies to the families of the martyred, asserting that they were national heroes.

“The sacrifices of the martyred will not go to waste,” he said.
