Air traffic between Pakistan and Iran returns to normal

A day earlier after the National Security Meeting, Pakistan decided to de-escalate the tension with Iran and restore diplomatic relations.

Air traffic between Pakistan and Iran returned to normal on Saturday after the improvement of relations.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) sources, the number of flights within Pakistan’s borders has increased.

CAA sources said that the number of flights coming to Pakistan’s borders from the western direction has returned to normal and 700 flights are passing through Pakistan’s airspace every day.

It should be noted that air traffic has decreased due to Pak-Iran tension in the past few days.

Tensions between the two neighbouring countries escalated following Jan 16 as Iran violated Pakistan’s airspace and launched a missile attack on a small village in the Pangjur area of Balochistan, in which 2 girls were martyred and 3 were injured.
