Ali Zaidi arrested from PTI office in Karachi

PTI chairman Imran Khan has strongly condemned the arrest of Ali Zaidi.

Ali Zaidi, ex-Federal Minister Ports and Shipping and PTI Sindh President Ali Zaidi is reported to have been arrested in Karachi.

As reported, Ali Zaidi was arrested by Malir police from PTI Secretariat Phase 6, DHA on Saturday evening.

According to the news source, the senior PTI leader is taken into custody in a case of 17 crores of forgery that was lodged against him yesterday in Ibrahim Haidry police station of District Malir.

PTI Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhry in a tweet reacting to the development said that Zaidi was arrested “without any arrest warrant”.

PTI leaders and others took to social media to share videos showing Ali Zaidi being taken into custody.

PTI chairman Imran Khan has strongly condemned the arrest of Ali Zaidi.

“Strongly condemn the arrest of another of our senior leaders, Ali Zaidi from Karachi. All part of the London Plan where Nawaz gave assurances PTI would be crushed. Over 3000 PTI workers were arrested, abducted, and terrorised. Ali Amin & now Ali Zaidi abducted,” he said in a tweet.

A new plan underway for more illegal police plus action in Zaman Park after 27 Ramazan or over Eid. They think this will weaken us in case elections are held. Let me state categorically this will not work. People’s anger only increasing & they will see the blowback of this nefarious London Plan in elections.” he added.
