Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday warned the federal government that Azadi March protesters will shut down the country.
According to the details, Fazl, while addressing the protesters of Azadi March said that the ultimatum he had given Prime Minister Imran Khan to resign has expired.
Fazl in his address said that the government is asking us to file complaints in the election commission, adding that, “Election Commission is even more helpless than u”.
“If the election commission was not so helpless, such a large crowd wouldn’t have assembled in Islamabad,” he said.
Fazl further said, “we have decided not to go to any court or election commission,” he said. “Only a parliamentary committee will decide about rigging.”
Alleging the government for using foreign funding, the JUI-F chief said that the ruling party’s foreign funding case was being heard by the Election Commission for the past five years but no verdict had been given on it.
Fazl said that the government will have to go home and the people of Pakistan will have to be given the right to vote.
Fazl issued a strict warning to PM Khan saying that his Azadi March would throw him away.
“If this flood decides to move towards the Prime Minister House, no one can dare stop it,” he said. “Imran Khan, listen to me. This movement and flood of people will force you out of the prime minister’s seat.”
While criticizing the premier, he said that it was unfortunate that he was occupying such a coveted seat. He also made heated comments against the PM.
“We know about you and your character very well,” he said. “We are also aware of ourselves and our characters,” he said.
