Karachi: Two dead, several injured as building collapses in Lyari

At least two people died and several others were injured when a two-storey residential building collapsed in Karachi’s Lyari area.

As being reported, the building collapsed in Lyari’s Koyla Godam. 10 injured residents and the deceased were shifted to the Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi.

A rescue operation is underway to rescue the trapped underneath the rubble. The area has been cordoned off by the security officials.

This is the second building to collapse in the metropolis within 72 hours and the fourth since the start of the year.

Sindh Governor Imran Ismail called for fixing responsibility for the casualties and damages after the report of the incident.
