Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi shifted to Adiala Jail
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has been shifted to Adiala Jail on Wednesday.
As reported, Former Punjab chief minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) president Chaudhry Parvez Elahi was transferred from District Jail Lahore to Central Jail Adiala in Rawalpindi on Wednesday morning.
The move comes a day after he was detained under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (3MPO).
On the order of the deputy commissioner, Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has been detained for 30 days under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).
Elahi, 77, was shifted to Adiala jail, Rawalpindi from Lahore jail under tight security by Lahore Police.
The medical officer of the Central Jail Adiala conducted Elahi’s medical check-up upon his arrival at the jail.
The police also handed over the 3MPO orders issued by the DC Lahore to the Central Jail authorities.
According to the sources, the PTI leader has been transferred from Lahore to Rawalpindi on administrative grounds.
