The government of Pakistan had made the COVID-19 test mandatory for Pakistan-bound travelers from the United Kingdom (UK).
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sayed Zulfikar Abbas Bukhari shared the update on Wednesday.
Taking it to social media, SAPM in a tweet said, “As per Govt of Pakistan’s policy, all those intending to travel from the UK to Pakistan have to get themselves tested for #COVID19“.
“However, there is ‘NO Compulsion’ on where to get those tests done from. Tests from the NHS or other verified sources are acceptable”, he added.
