Renowned academic and author of numerous books on political economy, Dr. Syed Akbar Zaidi has been appointed as Director Executive of Institute of Business Administration (IBA).
The appointment notification was issued on Monday by the Sindh Department of Universities and Boards.
Dr. Zaidi’s appointment as Karachi’s biggest business institute’s director has been done under the Sindh Universities and Institutes Laws (Amendment) Act 2018. Under the appointment, the professor would be serving the position for four years.
A Ph.D. of Cambridge University, Dr. Zaidi is renowned for his scholarly contributions and highly credited books. He’s currently visiting lecturer at Karachi University and IBA whereas he has also taught at Columbia University, University of Oxford, and John Hopkins University in the past.
