A fire has engulfed 33-storey building late Thursday night in South Korean city of Ulsan leaving dozens injured in the blaze.
According to the reports on international media, the blaze broke out in the multiple storey building around 11 p.m and continued burning through Friday morning.
Horrific scene of the blazes show black smoke rising above the building, and blackened debris scattered along the street.
Reports stated that no casualty in the incident was occurred while 91 people with minor injuries in the incident were sent to hospital.
The fire department said that 77 people were rescued from the building, 82 were evacuated to a nearby hotel.
The fire department said that the first emergency call was made by a resident on the 12th floor; adding that it’s still unclear where the blaze started and what caused it.
The Ministry said it seems to have spread from one of the lower storey up to the top floor, burning the building’s outer wall. The firefighters rushed to the scene five minutes after receiving the first call.
More than 1,000 personnel were deployed, including 930 firefighters and 75 other emergency responders. The fire department stated adding that the blaze has been brought under control.
