On Monday, a gas cylinder explosion caused a building to collapse in Karachi’s Machar Colony area.
At least 2 people were killed and another eight people were injured after a residential building located near Jafar Chowk collapsed in Karachi’s Machhar Colony due to a gas cylinder explosion, according to police and rescue officials.
Following the incident, rescue teams and police personnel reached the spot and a rescue operation is underway.
Keamari Police in a statement released via its media cell said that the explosion occurred inside a gas cylinder shop which was located on the ground floor of a residential building.
According to the civil hospital administration, 8 people injured in the cylinder blast in the building were shifted to the hospital.
The bodies of 2 people who died in the cylinder blast were also shifted to the civil hospital.
