Gold price rise to a new historic high of Rs219,500 per tola in Pakistan on Saturday.
The price of yellow metal continues to surge amid the country’s economic crisis and a delay in a deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) programme.
As per the data provided by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the rate of gold (24 carats) increased by Rs800 per tola and Rs686 per 10 grams to settle at Rs219,500 and Rs188,186, respectively.
Likewise, 10 grams of 22k gold were being traded for Rs163,624 while a single tola of 22-karat gold was being sold at Rs 190,880.
The gold rates in Pakistan are fluctuating according to the international market so the price is never been fixed.
