Prime Minsiter Imran Khan takes immediate notice of destitute woman asking for help

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday took prompt notice of the video clip of a destitute elderly woman appealing to him for  help. The woman appealed PM Imran Khan to provide her a shelter in Islamabad in a video that went viral. Following developments, the PM has promised the old lady that all the necessary arrangements would be made to help her.

The premiere has ordered managing director of Baitul Maal for all the possible help for the lady.

The Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has informed via his Twitter handle that Prime Minister Imran Khan personally called the lady, Naseem Bibi, and talked to her on a video call.

“It was saddening to see your video and I want to assure you that I will do everything in my power to help you,” the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister Imran Khan assured her that authorities will reach out to her soon and resolve her matter.

The video that went viral on social media showed a destitute woman addressing Prime Minister of his name and requesting him to provide her shelter. She said to the premiere that she is homeless forced to be living without roof ever since her husband has passed away.

The woman has now been provided temporarily facilities and has shifted to her daughter’s home as she refused to go shelter homes. The elderly woman asked the authorities to provide her a shelter in Bhara Kahu because her husband is buried there.
