Regardless of the fact that the new Pakistani government is struggling to make ends meet in the country, PM Imran Khan has definitely established Pakistan on a firm footing with its international image. The recent address of the PM at the UN General Assembly, gave out a clear message, Pakistan wanted the Kashmir Issue resolved and they wouldn’t be treated as underdogs in any matter concerning the region henceforth.
What came as a pleasant sight at the UN meeting was the complete support of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, who stood beside Imran Khan and backed his stance on Kashmir.
Following the meeting at the UN, the Pakistani premier met with the Malaysian premier Mahathir and Turkish President Erdogan to discuss the position of Muslims around the world. The three were of the view that Islamophobia had spread out in the world and it had affected the religion destructively. Therefore, the three leaders have announced a collaboration to jointly start an English language channel to give Muslims a digital presence and curb Islamophobia in the world.
Taking to his Twitter, Imran Khan, tweeted,
“President Erdogan, PM Mahatir and myself had a meeting today in which we decided our 3 countries would jointly start an English language channel dedicated to confronting the challenges posed by Islamophobia and setting the record straight on our great religion – Islam,”

“Misperceptions which bring people together against Muslims would be corrected; issue of blasphemy would be properly contextualized; series & films would be produced on Muslim history to educate/inform our own people & the world; Muslims would be given a dedicated media presence.”
