Vikram, the lander module that lost contact with the space station on India’s Chandrayaan-2 mission, has located on the moon surface on Sunday, reports Associated Press.
Indian Space and Research Organization (ISRO) said that efforts are still put in the way to try to establish contact with the lander.
Indian space agency’s chairman K. Sivan said cameras from the moon mission’s orbiter had located the lander.
“It must have been a hard landing,” he said.
However, the space agency could not reach for a comment either the connection would be established or not.
India’s space agency’s (ISRO) mission control sent the rover to the lunar surface on Saturday that later lost the contact with the control room resulting in failure of the mission.
ISRO said it made its final approach to the moon’s south pole to deploy a rover to search for signs of water.
