JI Emir Siraj ul Haq resigns from his party post
On Monday, Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Siraj ul Haq tendered his resignation from his post after his party failed to win even a single National Assembly seat in the February 8 general elections.
Accepting his failure in the elections, the JI leader said: “Despite sincere efforts and hard work, I could not get the desired success in the elections.”
In a statement, Siraj ul Haq said that despite his efforts and hard work, he could not achieve the desired success in the elections.
The spokesman of Jamaat-e-Islami says that the Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami, Amir-ul-Azeem, has called a Shura meeting on February 17 in Mansurah.
The situation after the resignation of Siraj ul Haq will be reviewed in the Shura meeting.
