As it was reported earlier that Dwayne Johnson will not be a part of the new Fast & Furious film, the latest update we get to know is that John Cena has officially joined Vin Diesel for the upcoming yet untitled 9th installment of the hit action franchise.
While sharing the news on Twitter, John Cena wrote, “For nearly 20 years, the Fast Franchise has entertained fans and created some of the biggest cinematic moments in history. It’s an incredible honor to join this franchise and this family.”
Vin Diesel teased about this indication on social media in April, the new has been confirmed now. The 9th installment of the franchise is being reported to begin shooting in coming weeks.

The film will also see the return of Jordana Brewster to the franchise. Jordana is the original member of the Fast & Furious family, who plays lead character Dom Toretto’s sister Mia Toretto.
Dwayne Johnson who is already starring in Fast & Furious spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw, is unlikely to return. Universal has officially confirmed the presence of John Cena in the franchise for the new film slated for a May 2020 release.
