The KSE-100 index hits a new all-time high of 67,142 points on Thursday.
The Pakistan Stock Exchange’s (PSX) benchmark KSE-100 index surged by 0.89%, or 594.34 points, to settle at a whopping 67,142.12.
Maintaining a positive momentum throughout the day, the benchmark KSE-100 reached an intraday high of 67,246.03 points, representing a gain of 698.24 points.
However, the lowest point in the session was 66,690.94 points, which still reflected a positive climb of 143.15 points.
According to experts, the positive trend comes after the recent economic developments including the country’s talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a critical loan took a turn for the better, while a new privatisation push also renewed buying interest in the market.
