The residents of Karachi’s housing society, Naya Nazimabad on Friday has approached the Sindh High Court against the administration of society.
As being reported, the residents of Naya Nazimabad have filed a petition in SHC saying that they have paid millions of rupees to avail the facility of electricity in the neighbourhood but their power supplies were cut off Friday morning.
They residents further informed that a petition against illegal development charges of the housing society was also pending in the court. The administration had threatened them to cut their power supplies if they would not withdraw the case.
“We have been paying millions of rupees just to get K-Electric’s meters but that service isn’t available to us”, they added.
During the hearing, the court summoned the administration’s official of the society and also ordered to stop power supplies in the area.
The administration has been issued notice by the court to appear on November 5.
