The opposition parties’ alliance, Pakistan Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is holding its second rally against the incumbent government at Bagh e Jinnah ground in Karachi on Sunday.
According to details, the rally is being hosted by Pakistan People’s Party, where prominent leaders of the country’s opposition parties are expected to give speeches and show their strength against the PTI government.
The vice president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz, on account of attending the rally, arrived in Karachi Sunday afternoon from Lahore.
At first, she visited the Quaid’s mausoleum . While leaving the mausoleum Maryam also spoke to media and said she was overwhelmed by the love she received in Karachi.
“Quaid-e-Azam had said that governments should come and go through votes,” she added.
Maryam said that she and her party leaders are not afraid of being arrested. Before leaving to attend Karachi power show, Maryam told that campaign against the ruling government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is getting decisive.
While replying to a question regarding Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s decision to not issue production orders, she said that those who think that VIP protocols are being given to the opposition leaders in jails are wrong.
Meanwhile, 160 feet long and 60 feet wide stage has been placed for opposition rally at Bagh e Jinnah while over 50,000 chairs have also been arranged to facilitate the participants.
Earlier before the rally, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has visited venue and inspected the arrangements for the opposition power show.
