Pakistan Reports 43 Deaths, 2,521 New Coronavirus Cases on Sunday

Pakistan on Sunday has reported 43 deaths related to COVID-19 and 2,521 new positive cases.

As being reported, during the last 24-hours, 41,191 tests were carried out nationwide.

Furthermore, the tally of patients recovered from the virus in Pakistan has reached 4,73,639.

Meanwhile, there are now 34,701 active cases in the country.

The government’s database for tracking the spread of the coronavirus shows around  2,373 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition. 

According to the government’s coronavirus portal, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s COVID-19 case tally has surged to 63,339 after 343 new infection cases were reported in the province and six more deaths, have taken the provincial total of deaths to 1,779. 

Meanwhile, Punjab has reported 734 new cases of the novel coronavirus, up from 535 a day earlier.

Punjab’s tally of infections has surged to 149,222. It also reported 22 more deaths, taking the total number of COVID-19 related fatalities to 4,409.

Sindh on Sunday has reported 18 deaths and 922 new coronavirus cases after testing 10,945 samples in the last 24 hours.

On Sunday, Balochistan reported 32 new virus cases, taking the provincial COVID-19 tally to  18,569.

Islamabad reported 131 new coronavirus cases, taking the federal capital’s coronavirus cases tally to 40,019.

The capital has also reported six more deaths, with new fatalities the toll has reached 456.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir recorded 23 cases and three deaths, taking the tally to 8,606 and the total number of fatalities to 241.
